The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB-IX), in partnership with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB-IX), conducted a one-day capability building and monitoring workshop on Tenement, Safety and Health, Environment and Social Development (TSHES) Reportorial Requirements and Government Pollution Control/Environmental Laws, Rules and Regulations on February 2, 2022.

The 1st DENR Region Management Conference for 2022 was held today at the DENR Regional Office in Pagadian City. Presided by RED Datu Tungko Saikol, this blended management conference was attended by OIC-MMD Chief Engr. Ramil Mundo and Planning Officer Mr. Joemark Bondad representing RD Hernani Abdon.
Despite internet connectivity issues, Mr. Bondad was able to present well the Physical and Financial Targets of MGB-IX for CY 2022.

Pagadian City – Datu Tungko Saikol officially assumed the Regional Executive Director post of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources IX through a special convocation held last January 18, 2022 in the DENR IX Regional Office.
Mines and Geosciences Bureau IX OIC Regional Director (RD) Hernani G. Abdon attended the program together with Environmental Management Bureau IX OIC RD Alex D. Jimenez and other DENR IX key officials and personnel from the regional and field offices.
Sec Cimatu holds 2022 New Year’s Call and Expanded Execom Conference

Mines and Geosciences Bureau IX OIC Regional Director (RD) Hernani G. Abdon attended the 2022 New Year’s Call and DENR Expanded Executive Committee (ExeCom) Conference held in hybrid format last January 17, 2022 at DENR Regional Office in Pagadian City.
During the New Year’s Call, Secretary Roy A. Cimatu presented DENR’s significant accomplishments in 2021 and gave his direction for the priority programs and projects for implementation in 2022. Meanwhile, Assistant Secretary for Field Operations-Mindanao, Joan A. Lagunda presented the 2021 Accomplishment of the Mindanao Clustered-Regions during the Expanded Execom.
